I was prone to stomach aches as a child, as early as I could remember. My mother always said I had a sensitive stomach, and she was right.
When I was eleven, I had an appendectomy. I thought, A-ha! Perhaps it was my appendix that was bothering me all along! But, that proved to be false. Stomach aches continued well into my 20’s. I now realize that it was the stress and emotions of others that I was feeling, and causing the stomach pains. I rarely experienced those issues when I was in solitude.
The fabulous aspect of being an Empath is that I can figure out people immediately, even before they speak. I can feel and know if they are genuine. I can feel and see if they are insecure. I can feel if they are fake. I can read them like a book. I would see the insecurities & lack of confidence in a manager that everyone else seemed to fear. I would see the authenticity & good heart in a co-worker that others avoided. That gut-feeling is simply intuition, and my empathy at work. I believe we are all born with empathy to some degree, but we are conditioned to suppress it or ignore it. As adults, we just have to tap into it. Small children and animals instinctively have it. They know exactly who they like, and who they don’t like, but cannot express it.
We all have thoughts & emotions that usually manifest into something physical. We just have to listen to our bodies. Ever feel happy, uplifted, and energetic because you attended a concert or event of your choosing? Of course you have. Ever get a ‘bad vibe’ or tight feeling from a negative person or situation? Absolutely. The human body sets boundaries. The more you become aware, the better you can anticipate or handle the situation. So pay attention to your thoughts, and see how they manifest physically. It’s empowering!
